I love this. I have a round intex pool next to a fence so we mounted it to the fence about 6” back and 1ft up. It saves so much time taking on and off the cover plus it saves our lawn, we used to pull it on and off manually. The setup takes a long time, i swear its worth it but i wanted to give up a few times. You need a drill to be able to drill through the metal rod. Make sure you do NOT do that by the pool. It creates metal shavings which will put a hole in your pool. We did it on the grass away from the pool. The next part is attaching the fasteners. If you are using it for a round pool you will need longer nylon straps. Buy the black roll of 3/4” nylon strap and cut to size. Attach to the pole and then put cover on pool and get yourself into the pool and then fasten the other end to the cover. You must attach the straps in a straight line, for round covers about a foot in from edge. The fasteners should go in TOP of the cover. You can measure/plan all you like but getting in pool and doing it ensures they will be in the right place. (I tried planning first which didn’t work!) i realized i didnt need straps at the ends. then loosen/tighten the straps on the pole when u are out of the pool so they will pull in a straight line.For ref i have the 16ft round intex and i ordered the up to 21ft pole set.Once its done you will love it!!
